Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Accountant to join our team at Recruitment Partners Inc. in Downtown Calgary. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing backup support to the AP and AR teams, assisting in the preparation of financial reporting, and maintaining/reconciling the general ledger.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and assist in preparation of financial statements.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting and conduct month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Support in the preparation of detailed financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Process vendor invoices and payments, perform three-way matching, and resolve discrepancies (AP support).
  • Generate and send invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and reconcile AR accounts (AR support).

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institute.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, SAP knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Highly detail oriented and accurate.
