Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage the inventory of materials required for production while minimizing costs and maximizing operational efficiency.

- Analyze production data, demand forecasts, and current stock levels to assess future material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels according to MRP recommendations and coordinate orders with suppliers to ensure adequate supply while avoiding surpluses and production stoppages.
- Send purchase requisitions and communicate required performance indicators to suppliers.
- Work closely with suppliers to track active requisitions and delays and update the ERP system.
- Submit and update consumption forecasts to help suppliers understand Siemens' changing needs.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure efficient planning and seamless flow of materials.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A diploma in logistics, administration, operations management, supply chain management, or related field.
- At least 6 months to 1 year previous professional experience in a planning or purchasing role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Advanced English and fluency in French spoken and written, to interact with our American suppliers and clients.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in IT tools (MS Office).
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software (SAP), an asset.
- Understanding of custom manufacturing processes.
