We are seeking an exceptional Academic Instructor in Urban Design to join our team at the University of Toronto.
Job SummaryThis course explores postcolonial urban design centered on connecting marginalized communities through readings, discussions, and design explorations, considering interdisciplinary knowledge from anthropology, sociology, geography, and urban planning.
Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver course material
- Manage digital teaching materials
- Prepare and deliver assignments, tests, and final examinations
- Mark student work and submit grades
- Deal with student enquiries, appeals, and petitions
- Provide student contact hours
- M.Arch, MUD or MSc in Urban Planning degree
- Professional urban design experience preferred
- Knowledge of contemporary urban design and public realm practice and policy development

Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The university also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
