Job Title: Construction Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at SUNLIFE ELECTRICAL LTD. As a Construction Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials as required.
  • Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Help medical examiners in charge as needed.
  • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, and Indigenous people.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for diverse groups.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the construction site supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The language of work is English.
