We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Happy Planet Energy Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances, make adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a visually appealing and healthy environment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
- Experience: Will train, and a permanent position is available.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication.
- Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week.
This is a physically demanding role that requires working under pressure and performing repetitive tasks. You must be able to bend, crouch, and kneel to perform your duties.
