Job Title: Skilled Landscaping Maintenance Labourer

Are you passionate about working outdoors and maintaining beautiful landscapes? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic? We are seeking a skilled Landscaping Maintenance Labourer to join our team at Earthscape Ontario.

About the Role:

This is a full-time seasonal position that will involve performing manual duties to maintain landscaped environments, including mowing, raking, weeding gardens, and pruning trees and shrubs. You will also operate a variety of mechanical lawn equipment, such as mowers, blowers, edgers, and clippers. As needed, you will assist our landscape construction crews in the construction of hardscape areas, such as pavers, flagstone, natural stone, walls, steps, and drainage/utilities installation.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual duties to maintain landscaped environments, including mowing, raking, weeding gardens, and pruning trees and shrubs.
  • Operate a variety of mechanical lawn equipment, such as mowers, blowers, edgers, and clippers.
  • Assist landscape construction crews in the construction of hardscape areas, such as pavers, flagstone, natural stone, walls, steps, and drainage/utilities installation.
  • Report to a crew lead and work collaboratively with the team to ensure properties are maintained to the highest standard.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of progressive experience in ornamental horticulture and landscape maintenance.
  • Passion for local plants, shrubs, and trees and their respective maintenance needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
  • Comfortable operating lawn and garden machinery.
  • Minimum G Class license.
