About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at Glow Construction Ltd. as a Framer-Carpenter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create high-quality structures.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, providing detailed estimates and material requirements.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring a seamless and professional finish.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, prioritizing tasks and managing timelines to meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct site surveys and level checks to ensure accurate building locations and levels.
  • Supervise and mentor other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
  • Estimate costs and materials, making informed decisions to optimize project budgets.
Work Environment

This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day. The physical demands of the job include handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
