About the RoleYou will evaluate project-based mortgage loan applications, conducting research on market conditions and comparable transactions. Your comprehensive due diligence procedures will ensure accurate working papers support underwriting recommendations. You will also structure financing terms, price risk, and recommend deal improvements, fostering positive business relationships with internal teams, borrowers, and third-party brokers/clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate project-based mortgage loan applications, ensuring thorough research on market conditions and comparable transactions.
- Develop comprehensive due diligence procedures, preparing detailed working papers to support underwriting recommendations.
- Structure financing terms, accurately pricing risk, and recommending deal improvements.
- Cultivate and sustain positive business relationships with internal teams, borrowers, and third-party brokers/clients.
- Provide ongoing mortgage administration services, including processing advances, renewals, payouts, and discharges.
Education Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in a Co-op or Internship program and have completed their 2nd or 3rd year in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Future aspirations of attaining a CFA or CPA are beneficial.
Required Skills:
- Exceptional financial acumen and analytical skill set with problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Capacity to manage multiple demands and prioritize workload effectively.
- Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Willingness to learn in a dynamic environment that encourages new ideas and change.
