Job Summary

AGAT Laboratories is a leading provider of environmental testing and laboratory services. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Instrumentation Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform equipment calibrations and maintenance in accordance with federal and provincial regulations
  • Commission and decommission air quality monitoring stations, including instrumentation, data management, and communications
  • Conduct passive air quality monitoring sample exchanges in the field
  • Troubleshoot instrument problems in the field and perform repairs in the shop
  • Maintain laboratory instruments, spare parts, and consumables
  • Assist senior field technicians with project provisioning, including air quality monitoring station construction
  • Interact with clients regarding air quality monitoring and other laboratory services
  • Be available for on-call duties and travel as required
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in instrumentation or environmental science
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-directed and accountable for responsibilities
  • Previous experience with continuous monitoring analyzers or fugitive emissions is an asset
  • Training in WHMIS, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, and TDG is an asset
  • Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract required
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
