The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our energy and emissions simulation software, the Navigator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, software development, and the energy sector. Key responsibilities include:
- Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and execute a product strategy and roadmap to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Market and Customer Research: Conduct market and customer research to identify user needs and translate them into product requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and management, to ensure successful product development and implementation.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define and track KPIs to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
- Product Backlog Management: Manage the product backlog, write user stories, and work closely with the development team in an Agile environment.
- Technical Specifications: Work with developers to develop technical specs, including schemas, data models, and pseudo-code.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that the product adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather feedback and maintain strong relationships.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree: In Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ Years of Experience: As a Product Manager or in a similar role.
- Energy Sector Experience: Additional experience in the energy sector, utilities, decarbonization, or building science is an asset.
- Proven Track Record: A proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex software products.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools, such as Jira.
- Communication and Leadership Skills: Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Cyber Security: Understanding of cyber security best practices.
- Licensed Software: Experience in working on licensed software within the SaaS industry.
