Job Summary:

Lifemark is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary clinic in Surrey. As a concussion specialist, you will work closely with our team to provide comprehensive care to clients with concussion and traumatic brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess clients' physical, mental health, and/or cognitive functioning in a clinic or community setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
• Educate clients on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities
• Support return-to-work programs, including job coaching and accommodation recommendations
• Utilize e-charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner
• Participate in case conferences and case management
• Collaborate with the inter-professional team at your clinic
• Supervise Occupational Therapy students (as preferred)
• Network with stakeholders to promote Lifemark OT programs
• Manage caseload in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in treating concussion/traumatic brain injury
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development
• Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is a strong asset
• Certification in Concussion or Vestibular Therapy is considered an asset
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
