At Executive Suites Hotel and Resort Squamish, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented House Attendant to join our team. As a House Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest service by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest suites and common areas.
  • Clean and sanitize all common washrooms and guest common areas to a 5-star standard.
  • Manage keys and maintain accurate records of areas cleaned.
  • Ensure proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with OHS and WCB standards.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly inventories of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Stock maids' rooms and carts with necessary supplies.
  • Remove garbage and recycling from room attendants on the floors as directed.
  • Attend to conference activities and set up cleanliness as directed.
  • Deliver requests for guests to suites.
  • Clean and maintain office areas and storage spaces.
  • Perform regular property security walk-throughs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Aspects of the Position:

The House Attendant role requires constant standing and walking throughout the shift, frequent lifting and carrying up to 30lbs, and occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps. The ideal candidate must be physically capable of performing repetitive work and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Room Attendant or in a position requiring some hard physical work and a high standard of guest/customer service.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well unsupervised, at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation.
  • Completely fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests' expectations.
  • Must be available to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
