About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Security Architect to join our team at Index Exchange. As a key member of our technology leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and driving the overall security strategy for our global exchange platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security architecture for our exchange, web services, and data systems.
  • Design and develop security tooling and middleware, and integrate them into our build and validation pipelines.
  • Audit and validate our security systems to ensure they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage all security-related requirements and ensure they are aligned with our business objectives.
  • Collaborate with our engineering teams to implement best practices for security and ensure our systems are secure and compliant.
  • Contribute to the development of our strategic technology roadmap and ensure our security architecture is aligned with our business goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in scaled commercial software development environments, preferably in ad tech.
  • 5+ years of experience in security architecture, including designing role and attribute-based authentication systems, externalizing cross-cutting security concerns, and auditing code for compliance.
  • 5+ years of security incident triaging and remediation experience.
  • 4+ years of significant technology leadership experience with high-volume, low-latency distributed platforms, preferably with globally distributed internet-scale platforms.
  • Expertise in software development lifecycle, performance profiling, and optimization.
  • Demonstrated history as an advocate and coach for robust architectural patterns and frameworks, test-driven development, and frequent delivery.
  • Expertise in establishing meaningful performance budgets, metrics, observability, and targets for large-scale systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, advance, and evolve a robust technology roadmap.
  • Demonstrated history of developing architectural designs and standards, platforms, and frameworks that are effectively leveraged by many development teams.
