About the Role:

Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

  • Provide direction and support to reports and foster a highly effective working relationship with all employees
  • Assist in developing and achieving targets in safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee engagement
  • Supervise and provide leadership in safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee engagement
  • Ensure the Canfor Operating System (COS) is being followed with an emphasis on abnormality response
  • Ensure the preventative maintenance program is developed and followed and that cost targets are within budget
  • Coordinate the planned work of crews to ensure both maintenance and production targets are met and quality standards are adhered to
  • Maintain high standards of work performance and correct behavior as required
  • Plan and implement daily and weekly preventative maintenance work lists and duties


Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Developing and implementing short-term and long-term maintenance goals and plans


• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies


• Providing training and coaching to crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge


• Coordinating and supervising the work of crews to ensure efficient use of resources


• Conducting regular inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and develop corrective actions


• Collaborating with other departments to resolve maintenance-related issues and improve overall operations



Your Ideal Background Would Include:


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision or management, preferably in a union setting
  • Proven ability to lead teams and develop high-performing maintenance crews
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of electronic-based maintenance programs and trade qualifications would be an asset


About Our Offer:

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous pension plan.
