Position Overview

The Executive Director, Food Service Operations, is responsible for ensuring the efficient, professional, and profitable operation of food service at our assigned venue. This individual oversees every managerial, full-time, and part-time position, ensuring full compliance with state and federal labor laws, sanitation and food-related ordinances, and alcohol service regulations. In addition to managing daily business operations, this executive solicits new sources of revenue, both on and off the venue property.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Ensure legal, efficient, professional, and profitable operation of the assigned venue.
  2. Generate and review financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, capital investments, labor and product costs, wage and salary control, P&L financial statements.
  3. Develop, review, and amend policies & procedures, as required.
  4. Evaluate recent historical sales and purchasing data to identify purchasing patterns and accurate cost of goods.
  5. Provides each manager with clear direction and follows up on all assignments.
  6. Inspects the operation regularly to ensure established quality standards are maintained.
  7. Gives managers clear direction and provides necessary assistance for them to perform their work.
  8. Evaluates each manager's performance and makes recommendations for improvement.
  9. Maintain personal relationships with show managers, suppliers, vendors, and the public that project the venue in a positive light.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in food-related or concessions management.
  • Nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests.
  • Solid working knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft Office, POS systems, timekeeping systems.
  • Possess valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required by state or local government.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc.
