Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer Manager to join our team at The Engineering Institute of Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise in transportation engineering and planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transportation plans and policies that support the organization's vision and goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to staff on transportation engineering and planning projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize transportation projects and initiatives.
  • Manage and coordinate transportation projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and industry partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in transportation engineering and planning, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field, plus at least 10 years of experience in transportation engineering and planning.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, demonstrating strong managerial skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation planning, traffic safety engineering, road design, and public engagement is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
