About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled International Corporate Tax Advisor to join our team at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our International Corporate Tax group, you will work closely with senior staff to provide tax advisory services to clients operating in Canada and abroad.



Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners on a range of international tax advisory projects involving Canadian multinational corporations operating abroad and foreign companies investing into Canada
  • Take the lead on the preparation of tax returns, T1134 forms, FAPI computations, and surplus calculations
  • Prepare detailed documents and communications for clients, including technical memos and client-specific advice letters
  • Provide assistance to senior staff through support in research, development, implementation, project strategy and other international tax initiatives for specific clients
  • Conduct and present tax research
  • Opportunity to develop and assist with tax planning strategies for our clients


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a public accounting firm
  • Successfully passed the CFE, and has obtained or is in process of obtaining a CPA designation or MTax degree
  • Currently enrolled or willing to enroll in the In-Depth tax course
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities
