Collaboration with Sourcing:
  1. Factory Allocation and Design Execution: Collaborate with sourcing on factory allocation, design execution, vendor matrix, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery efficiency and resource utilization for apparel manufacturing.
  2. Cost and Lead Time Communication: Communicate first cost from sourcing to sales and estimated lead time for apparel products, considering material availability and production timelines.
Sampling Process and Pre-Production Approvals:
  1. Sampling Process Initiation: Oversee the initiation and facilitation of the sampling process, with a specialized focus on garment fit and fabric quality.
  2. Sample Approvals: Manage sample approvals for licensed apparel products and buyer samples.
  3. TOP Sample Production: Ensure the timely production of TOP (TOP OF PRODUCTION) samples for apparel items and effective management of the process.
  4. Tech Package Management: Manage and maintain accurate tech packages throughout the product life cycle, which includes approvals of art|sizing of style.
Management of Revisions:
  1. Cross-Functional Relationships: Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal|external teams in regard to timelines, changes|on time delivery etcetera.
Role Requirements:
  1. Experience: Fifteen plus years experience as a sourcing or production manager exclusively in the fashion industry.
  2. Knowledge and Expertise: Knowledgeable about products, fabric, fit, washes, patterns, suppliers, and factories in the US and abroad. Expertise about critical path, costing, manufacturing, and calendar management.
  3. Negotiation and Communication Skills: A strong negotiator with the ability to find pragmatic solutions in a win, win context. A strong written and verbal ability to establish trustworthy and durable relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
  4. Organizational and Time Management Skills: A very well-organized professional with excellent planning skills with high prioritization ability working on multiple projects at the same time. Able to work under pressure maintaining attention to detail and accurate work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  5. Education and Language Skills: BFA or BA in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field. English, additional language(s) an advantage.
  6. Work Schedule: Schedule of this position: Monday – Friday | Core business hours | Onsite.
