About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Data Analysis Specialist to join our team at Colas USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data to inform business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate historical and current financial data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Analyze financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance.
  • Present findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Assist with month-end close processes and duties.
  • Audit and reconcile financial statements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on financial matters.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' experience working in an accounting related field.
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business considered an asset.
  • CPA designation or working towards considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access etc., with main proficiency required in Excel.
  • PowerBI, ReportsNow experience considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with AI technology or tools considered an asset.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with various teams across all levels and functions of the organization.
  • Time management skills and ability to multi-task with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and agility to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with accounting software such as JDE.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
