The Opportunity

The Sr. Manager, IT Applications will oversee the day-to-day distribution team workload, including 3rd party consultants and vendors. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a draft roadmap, managing priorities with the business, and implementing distribution-related business processes and systems.

This role requires significant technical expertise, as well as leadership, organizational, and analytical skills. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to mentor and coach the team, and demonstrate a good understanding of business processes.

The Role
  • Perform overall distribution status reporting to the Director, IT Applications
  • Ensure workload distribution to other distribution BAs
  • Define business requirements for system changes and work closely with the software development team
  • Manage team admin tasks, including holiday and vacation coverage, timesheet approvals, and yearly objective setting and reviews
  • Work with project teams to develop workload plans and distribution BA assignments
  • Ensure daily business support, including setup of new distribution partners and validation of distribution transactions
  • Support users in understanding distribution and labor management application software and transactions
  • Report and escalate any distribution issues
  • Document new processes and procedures, create testing documentation, and develop training materials
  • Provide production analysis and support for internal and external customers
  • Coach the distribution BA team and foster growth
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment with global IT teams
  • Develop and maintain technology and support roadmaps for distribution operations
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement new technologies
Requirements
  • 7 years' experience in distribution-related environments and inventory control/management
  • University degree in IT, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or equivalent
  • 5 years' experience with WMS Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred)
  • 3-5 years' experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards: Distribution module preferred)
  • Strong system and process orientation, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Team management experience of 5 or more team members
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English and French (Spanish is an asset)
  • Traveling required outside Canada (10% to 25% of the time)
