Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Squamish, BC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically-operated trucks and heavy-duty equipment
- Use various power tools, hand instruments, and cutting-edge equipment to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
- Complete daily reports, work orders, and order necessary parts to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Assist in the review of mechanical write-ups and coordinate repair schedules
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired
- Certified Red Seal Mechanic or second-year apprentice with experience required
- 2+ years' experience as a Mechanic
- Relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain accurate records
- Willingness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
- Exert physical effort including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting items up to 100 lbs.
Working Conditions

- May include exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, and fumes
