Credit Coordinator Job Description
**Job Summary:**
As a Credit Coordinator at Bison Transport Inc, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customers in your credit portfolio meet their payment terms. You will work closely with customers and internal contacts to address any payment discrepancies and resolve issues that may be delaying payment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Collect accounts receivable to ensure customers meet payment terms
* Conduct daily calls to customers to discuss payment status and resolve any issues
* Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and delays
* Monitor the status of invoices via payables websites
* Analyze payment trends to identify positive or negative patterns
* Investigate short/over payments and determine the reason for the discrepancy
* Provide statements of account to customers
* Investigate the credit worthiness of new and existing accounts and provide recommendations to the Credit Manager
* Communicate credit issues to the Customer Service and Marketing departments and resolve them in a way that benefits the company
* Set up bill to codes
* Perform other miscellaneous projects or duties as assigned by the Credit Manager
**Requirements:**
* College diploma in Business Administration or equivalent experience in an office environment
* High level of problem-solving skills
* Detail-oriented with a passion for working with numbers and details
* Ability to manage in a multi-task environment
* Adaptability skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Advanced Excel skills, specifically proficiency in VLOOKUP and pivots
* Experience with TMW and Great Plains is considered an asset
