About the Role:

Pacific Preferred Developments Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Technician to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Requirements:

• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
• Own transportation
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Client focus, reliability, and team player skills
• Dental and health care plans provided
