About the Role:

This is a specialized position focused on building and maintaining the technical training capabilities of our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering aircraft maintenance training programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop engaging and effective training content, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises, to meet the diverse needs of entry-level and experienced production employees.
  • Implement a structured and progressive training curriculum tailored to address critical training needs and accommodate changes in regulations, technology, and company procedures.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the progress of training programs, making necessary adjustments to enhance effectiveness and ensure alignment with organizational goals and employee needs.
  • Facilitate training sessions for individuals or groups, utilizing a diverse range of methods to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and update training compliance records within the tracking system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support performance effectiveness by identifying skill gaps and training needs within the production team and developing individual and team training plans as required.
  • Collaborate regularly with team members within Maintenance and across functions to ensure programs are aligned to organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • A Canadian AME license combined with a certificate, diploma, or degree in training and development.
  • Minimum eight years' progressive experience in maintenance operations with at least five years in an AME role.
  • Demonstrated experience in the assessment, development, execution, and monitoring of technical and functional maintenance learning and development initiatives.
  • Proven experience training, coaching, and developing teams for demonstrable performance improvement and effectiveness.
  • Ability to establish and track key training and performance metrics and results.
  • Extensive knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards related to aircraft maintenance training.
  • Strong technological abilities with a solid background in CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
  • Prior experience with learning software to track and develop materials.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills to work with stakeholders at all levels and across teams; strong teaching skills with a focus on adult learning.
  • Highly developed and effective communication skills, including written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills combined with solid judgment.
  • Strong influence, coaching, and leadership skills.

  • Physical requirements include climbing into and under various aircraft; walking around, standing, and crouching for long periods of time; able to lift up to 23 kg.
