Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Lakeridge Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary family centered care environment, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and practice activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, cardiology, obstetrics/gynecology, trauma, medicine, and psychiatry.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments and develop plans to address patient needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices.

Requirements:

  • Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • ACLS and PALS certification.
  • Critical Care and/or Emergency Certificate from a recognized institution (asset).
  • Competent to perform CPR at a Basic Cardiac Life Support level.
  • Health Assessment course or equivalent experience.
  • Emergency experience and/or equivalent or Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and exercise sound clinical judgment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and learning.
  • Must have a satisfactory performance record.

Conditions of Employment:

  • The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and the Ontario Nurses Association (RN Bargaining Unit Local 051).
  • Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
