We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at S.i. Systems. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and reliability of our mission-critical financial applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in monitoring platforms, log management, and scripting languages. You will work closely with our application and operational experts to ensure the highest level of availability, reliability, security, and scalability of our financial applications and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proactively monitor log feeds, flows, and alerts for data interruptions and server health.
  2. Administer monitoring platforms and related infrastructure, working with IT specialists to deliver logging requirements.
  3. Collaborate with product/project/client teams to refine monitoring dashboards.
  4. Monitor system performance and service agreements to ensure ongoing service-delivery standards, service levels, and IT policies are met.
  5. Assess and refine current logs, considering fine-tuning or automation opportunities.
  6. Create and update management packs and scripts.
  7. Support data source migration and log traffic.
Required Skills:
  1. Demonstrated experience with monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace, SCOM, and Solarwinds.
  2. Demonstrated experience working with log management platforms like Syslog-NG and Splunk.
  3. Demonstrated experience using scripting languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell for systems automation.
  4. Proficiency in testing and managing high availability environments with regular disaster recovery tests.
  5. Understanding of load testing, monitoring, and performance management tools for every layer of the environment.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Demonstrated experience with SCOM Report Customization and SQL Report Server Administration.
  2. Demonstrated experience with infrastructure scripting and automation or familiarity with Infrastructure as Code.
