Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Cashier to join our team at Guru Nanak General Store Ltd. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and processing transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide assistance with purchases.
  • Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, process payments, and handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card transactions.
  • Inventory Management: Scan items, tabulate total payments, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Merchandise Handling: Wrap or place merchandise in bags, weigh produce and bulk foods, and provide customer service.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language.
