Purchasing Agent Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Agent to join our team at Tile Shoppe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase General and Specialized Equipment, Materials, or Business Services: The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services to support the operations of Tile Shoppe.
  • Assess Requirements and Develop Specifications: The Purchasing Agent will assess the requirements of our establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased.
  • Negotiate Offers and Consult with Suppliers: The candidate will negotiate offers from suppliers and consult with them to ensure the best possible deals for Tile Shoppe.
  • Manage Staff and Review Quotations: The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff, as well as reviewing quotations and determining contract terms and conditions.
  • Establish Delivery Schedules and Monitor Progress: The candidate will establish delivery schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Resolve Problems and Ensure Security and Safety: The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for resolving problems with clients and suppliers, as well as ensuring the security and safety of our establishment.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week
