About the Role

Oakwater Wealth Counsel, a leading private wealth management practice, is seeking a dynamic Investment/Associate Advisor to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a desire to collaborate with like-minded individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with key principals to foster and support client relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, client correspondence, and project work.
  • Process and follow up on security transactions and transfers.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls with clients and respond to requests for information.
  • Collaborate with the team to create holistic wealth management plans for clients using NaviPlan software.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of investment industry experience.
  • Desire to work in a team environment and demonstrate a professional and friendly manner.
  • Strong skills in NaviPlan or other financial planning software.
  • IR Licensed or successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook is an asset.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and identify opportunities to add value.
  • Motivation for growth on the team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, work within time constraints, and follow up.
