About the Role

The Quality Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects at Graham. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position provides assistance and support to senior project staff in the coordination, reporting, and quality functions of a project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting pre-install meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure a smooth start of new work.
  • Implement the Project Specific Quality Plan (PSQP) on project sites, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Conduct site inspections to self-performed scopes of work, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Review quality-related documents submitted by subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct random field verification of subcontractor quality control activities, ensuring adherence to project standards.
  • Participate in conducting field inspections and testing by third-party laboratories/consultants, ensuring accurate results.
  • Assist in managing and tracking the implementation of the Deficiency Management Process, including initiating Field Surveillance Reports (FSR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
  • Review FSR, CAR, and NCR reports based on frequency and severity of occurrence and findings.
  • Conduct quality orientation of new workers on project sites, ensuring they understand project quality expectations.
  • Monitor deficiencies brought about by clients, consultants, and/or third-party site observations/inspections.
  • Document Quality Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data for the project, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist in developing the initial Project Specific Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) with coordination from team members.
  • Ensure risks identified in the Tender Quality Risk Assessment (TQA) and Project Quality Risk Assessment (PQRA) have been incorporated in the ITP.
  • Assist in conducting preconstruction start-up meetings with subtrades and suppliers to inform them of project quality requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum High School Diploma; Journeyman Trade Certification or Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Project Quality Coordinator role or similar.
  • General knowledge of and increasing familiarity with the core elements of a construction project, including systems, practices, and processes of quality management systems.
  • Good presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Proficiency using scheduling and project management software.
