Job Summary

We are seeking a Correctional Officer to join our team at the Ontario Public Service. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of correctional facilities, as well as providing support to inmates and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce institutional rules and regulations, ensuring the safety and security of inmates and staff.
  • Provide support and guidance to inmates, promoting rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
  • Collaborate with other correctional staff to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
Work Environment

Correctional facilities can be fast-paced and physically demanding. As a Correctional Officer, you will work in a team environment, interacting with inmates and staff on a daily basis.
