Biomedical Engineer for Healthcare Technology

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team in Clinical Engineering Projects Team. As a Biomedical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing medical equipment systems to support clinical teams and staff in optimizing the use of medical technology.
Responsibilities- Design and implement medical equipment systems that meet regulatory requirements and standards
- Lead projects to support the implementation of capital medical equipment programs
- Develop and maintain enterprise asset management and fleet management strategies
- Provide consultation on medical device repairs, departmental policies, and equipment procurement
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, biomedical, or clinical engineering) or related field
- Licensed to practice engineering with Engineers Nova Scotia or eligible for licensure
- Mastery of federal regulations, laws, and standards in healthcare settings
- Experience in managing large capital budgets and technical knowledge of hospital settings
- Proven ability to work through unforeseen challenges and obstacles
- Clinical engineering certification
- Master's degree in clinical engineering, biomedical instrumentation, or related fields
- Competencies in other languages, particularly French
This is a full-time permanent position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
