About the Role

Highspot is seeking an exceptional Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Meeting Intelligence product.

  • Develop High-Quality Software: Design, build, and deliver scalable and efficient backend systems that meet the highest quality standards.
  • Lead by Example: Mentor junior engineers and lead by example, promoting best practices and technical excellence throughout the team.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with UX and Product Management to create innovative solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Take on Technical Challenges: Assume a technical leadership role in our most complex projects, driving innovation and technical excellence.
  • Mentor and Share Knowledge: Support the professional growth of others by actively mentoring and sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Ensure Software Quality: Write automated tests and collaborate with QA to deliver high-quality software that meets customer expectations.
  • Resolves Complex Technical Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve major customer technical issues in production, ensuring high uptime and performance.

About You

  • API Expertise: Proficiency in designing, building, integrating with, and supporting APIs using various languages, data formats, and data transformations.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Agile, creative, resourceful, and tenacious problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Modern Technologies: Comfortable with modern open-source technologies and tools.
  • Software Development Expertise: Experience developing software products, scalable internet software, and applications using object-oriented and functional design patterns.
