Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Freight Corridor Ltd. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring the safe transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, taking care to ensure they are properly secured and handled.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs as needed.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to extend the life of the vehicle and prevent breakdowns.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, following all relevant regulations and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Flexibility and reliability, with a strong work ethic
