Facilities Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Allnations Building Maintenance Ltd.
This is a permanent position that requires the successful candidate to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
Job Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintenance- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Dust furniture and fixtures to ensure a tidy workspace.
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
- Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Handle and report lost and found items to maintain a secure and organized workspace.
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- Provides physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators, to ensure equal access for all employees.
- Provides visual accessibility accommodations, such as braille and screen readers, to ensure equal access for all employees.
- Provides auditory accessibility accommodations, such as transcription software and teletypewriters, to ensure equal access for all employees.
- Participates in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities to promote inclusivity and diversity.
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for persons with disabilities to promote career development and advancement.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Applies accessible and inclusive recruitment policies to ensure equal opportunities for all candidates.
- Participates in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees to promote inclusivity and diversity.
- Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and childcare.
- Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees through language training, skills training, and community resources.
- Recruits newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster to promote diversity and inclusion.
- Supports newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition to promote career development and advancement.
- Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees to promote career development and advancement.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Participates in government or community programs that support youth employment to promote inclusivity and diversity.
- Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth to promote career development and advancement.
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth to promote career development and advancement.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Participates in government or community programs that support veterans to promote inclusivity and diversity.
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for veterans to promote career development and advancement.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for veterans.
- Recruits veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion.
- Assists with immediate transition needs of veterans, such as relocation and housing.
- Offers workshops, counseling services, or other resources to help veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
- Supports veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
- Offers flexible onboarding options to allow veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace.
