Job Title: Line Operator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Line Operator at our Extrusion plant facility in Langley, BC.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm/7pm-7am), working 4 days on and 4 days off. The proposed hourly pay range starts at $26.87.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the operation of extruders and associated equipment with training
  • Perform quality checks using micrometers, calibers, and tape measures
  • Package pipe in accurate pallet sizes and quantities and document production
  • Operate a forklift and use basic hand tools
  • Identify, transfer, and load material for production
  • Inspect and report potential unsafe or hazardous conditions
  • Remove and report scrap in compliance with work instructions
  • Troubleshoot problems and determine the most appropriate course of action
  • Support the Joint, Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or certificate of completion is required
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred; plastics experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of imperial and metric measurement systems and basic math is necessary
  • Experience operating a forklift is considered an asset
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions:
  • Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
