About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at BlackBerry QNX. As a key member of our Open Source team, you will be responsible for integrating Open Source software into our QNX Real-Time Operating System.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyze, port, integrate, and optimize Open Source C/C++/Python projects onto the QNX RTOS.
  2. Work with the Open Source community to upstream QNX updates and patches.
  3. Integrate Open Source SW with different QNX subsystems, such as graphics, sensor input, networking.
  4. Integrate Open Source components onto different embedded computing platforms and work with silicon partners to integrate Open Source SW with their HW acceleration blocks.
Requirements
  1. Experience with Linux and/or Android.
  2. Device driver experience on any platform is an asset (imaging sensors, Lidars, RADARs etc).
  3. Technical understanding of image processing (OpenCV, OpenGL etc).
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Great self-motivation and be passionate about developing.
  6. Personal time projects in software considered an asset.
