Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and components for robotic vehicles, including power battery systems, digital processing electronics, and wiring documentation. They will also be involved in the creation of test rigs to support experiments and development processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom printed circuit boards (PCBs) with tidy integration of off-the-shelf CPU and microcontrollers, power, sensor, and actuator components.
  • Assemble components and debug issues that arise during testing and development.
  • Create electronics for test rigs to support experiments and development processes.
  • Evaluate and select alternative solutions through qualitative and quantitative analysis and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, review, build, and test aspects of the robotic system.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience with robotic system design and development.
  • Familiarity with Altium or other PCB circuit design software.
  • Experience with electronics test equipment for debugging communications signals.
  • Strong understanding of design tradeoffs with mechanical, electrical, and software solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in both team and autonomous environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competitive salary: $95,000 - $110,000 per year.
