As a **Constable**, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, engaging with the public, and working collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies to maintain public safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engage with the community through outreach and education programs to build trust and foster positive relationships.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and community policing.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and emergency services to achieve common goals and maintain public safety.

Requirements:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Have a Basic Constable Training Diploma or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

As a **Constable**, you will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, including Statutory Holidays. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations.

Training and Development:

Successful candidates will be required to attend training at the City of Ottawa Police Professional Development center. This training will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in your role as a **Constable**.

Selection Process:
