Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to join the long-term care administration team. The successful candidate will provide project coordination and analytical support to the Manager, Residential Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project coordination and analytical support to the Manager, Residential Care, including coordination of recruitment and staffing functions.
- Assume responsibility for operational daily staffing activities in the absence of the Manager.
- Liaise with Employee Engagement and other corporate areas to receive and convey information.
- Provide support to the Manager on human resources, staffing, financial, and service-related issues.
- Prepare reports and coordinate project documentation and project management tools.
- Occasionally provide guidance, supervision, and work direction to support staff.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of three years' recent, related financial, human resource, and business/operational analysis and project planning experience in a large, complex service organization.
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong analytical, research, and financial abilities to support decision-making.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Lean principles and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resources principles and practices and relevant collective agreements.
- Advanced expertise in the use of current computer applications, including word processing, graphics presentation, and spreadsheet computer applications.
- Results-oriented within a high-pressure working environment with numerous critical timelines.
- Effective and accurate communication and facilitation skills to work effectively in a team setting and with various stakeholders.
- Ability to identify issues and develop and analyze solutions to resolve problems.
- Practices diligence and care when maintaining, monitoring, calculating, and summarizing data, records, and confidential information.
- Optimizes program effectiveness and contributes to organizational success by applying excellent time management skills.
