Job Summary:

The Site Manager is a key leadership role at Bouchier, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction sites. This position requires a strong background in managing teams and operations, with a focus on ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit the progress of ongoing projects, ensuring adherence to approved plans and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with established worksite policies and practices.
  • Manage and maintain the operational budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  • Develop and implement safety and quality assurance programs, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage conflict and resolve issues as they arise, demonstrating sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil sands and light civil construction, with a strong background in leadership and operations management.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License, with Class 1 or 3 license considered an asset.
  • CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019) is required.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, with successful progression through roles and previous experience managing 200+ employees considered an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite, with previous experience with Maximo considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
