**Job Responsibilities:**- Work with students with special education needs across various age groups.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to establish a positive classroom environment.
- Provide comprehensive student support services, including personal care, mobility, communication, and life skills.
- Graduate of a College of Applied Arts & Technology in Educational Assistance and Adult Supports (preferred), Autism Behavioural Sciences, Child and Youth Worker, or possess equivalent post-secondary training.
- Previous experience in an Educational Assistant role within diverse classroom settings.
- Access to reliable transportation and willingness to work in multiple DSBN school locations.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and physically assist children, including lifting.
- Preferred certification in Standard First Aid/CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Behavioural Management Systems (BMS).
