We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team, working on diverse and challenging projects in the ICI sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Prepare layouts and specifications for lighting, electrical distribution, emergency power distribution, fire alarm systems, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, cable, and panel schedules.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants regarding project reports and findings.
  • Analyze and resolve problems, ensuring compliance with ASHRAE and LEED standards where applicable.
  • Create technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
  • Develop specifications and equipment selection criteria.
  • Review shop drawings to ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Foster a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code (OBC), Canadian National Building Code (NBC), etc.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
