Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at D & N Metals Co. Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect heavy-duty equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, ensuring prompt and effective repair services.
  • Diagnose complex issues using computerized testing equipment and determine the extent of required repairs, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Order parts and maintain an organized inventory system, optimizing stock levels for optimal operations.
  • Adjust and repair or replace defective equipment components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Keep detailed maintenance records and documentation, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and meet manufacturers' quality standards.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Service attachments and working tools, guaranteeing their optimal functionality.
  • Verify and repair emission control systems, upholding environmental regulations and company standards.
Work Conditions and Physical Demands:

This role demands a high level of physical fitness due to the physically demanding nature of the work, requiring frequent handling of heavy loads and manual dexterity.

Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 5 years or more, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Personal Qualities:
  • Accurate and reliable individual with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, ensuring seamless collaboration with colleagues.
