Job Title: Driver/Material Handler

EMCO Corporation is seeking a skilled Driver/Material Handler to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a delivery vehicle, loading and unloading materials, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a delivery vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Load and unload materials at customer and vendor locations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections and report any mechanical issues to management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving any shipping discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the Profit Centre team to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.
  • Experience driving a truck and making deliveries preferred.
  • Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations, including the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
  • Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle and material handling equipment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing or building products sold at the Profit Centre.
  • Experience using Trend, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
