Job Summary:

The Physiotherapist is a vital member of The EMP's interdisciplinary team, responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients and families. This role involves coordinating and providing care within the scope of practice, promoting, maintaining, and/or restoring functional performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement evidence-based interventions to promote functional performance and independence.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote self-management and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community services and organizations to ensure seamless care transitions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor and/or Master's Degree of Science in Physiotherapy or an equivalent.
  • Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Physiotherapist of New Brunswick and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
  • Knowledge of the target population of Extra-Mural Services and available community services.
  • Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Current CPR Level C certification.
  • Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work all shifts as assigned and maintain a good attendance record.
  • High regard for confidentiality.
  • Excellent work habits and professional appearance.
