About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Care Provider to join our team at Samar Pai. As a Child Care Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to infants and children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: The successful candidate will work in the employer's/client's home, providing care and support to children in a safe and healthy environment.
  • Tasks: The Child Care Provider will be responsible for:
    • Changing diapers and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
    • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
    • Bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children.
    • Organizing activities such as games and outings for children.
    • Preparing and serving nutritious meals.
    • Preparing infants and children for rest periods.
    • Supervising and caring for children.
    • Taking children to and from school and to appointments.
    • Tending to the emotional well-being of children.
  • Target Audience: The successful candidate will work with children, providing care and support to meet their physical, emotional, and developmental needs.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The Child Care Provider will be required to perform repetitive tasks and have attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: The successful candidate will possess excellent written communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organization, reliability, time management, patience, and honesty.
  • Screening Questions: The candidate will be required to answer screening questions, including:
    • Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?
    • Work Term: Temporary
    • Work Language: English
    • Hours: 40 hours per week
