Radiology Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority has a temporary appointment position in diagnostic radiology at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater. This is a 3-month position with the potential for extension to 6 months or longer. The successful candidate will join a team of 5 radiologists to provide diagnostic imaging services to the hospital and its affiliated facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic imaging services, including CT, ultrasound, x-ray, mammography, and nuclear medicine
- Perform various image-guided procedures
- Be responsible to the Zone Department of Radiology for professional responsibilities and quality of practice, as well as operate within the medical staff bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
- Provide hospital and call support as required
- Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned
Expected Hours:
- Locum and/or short-term appointment
- On-call requirement
Qualifications:
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- Certification with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
- Eligible for certification by the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada
