Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Nu Star Transport Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods across the country
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and maintain a safe and efficient operation
  • Load and unload goods, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License
  • Experience with tractor-trailer combinations and international routes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment
