Your Opportunity
This is an opportunity for a Civil Field Inspector. Working in a multi-disciplined environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects with our Community Development Team. Your key responsibilities will include leading all on-site inspection activities, identifying and documenting site-related construction challenges, maintaining daily photographic records, quantity surveying, and serving as a main point of contact on site for the Contractor and the Client.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading on-site construction progress review meetings, including documenting the discussion and action items.
2. Reviewing requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings, and pay applications.
3. Preparing red-lined as-built drawings and training less experienced staff in company procedures, standards, and software.
4. Travel within London and surrounding area will be required.

Qualifications:
You will need knowledge of standard engineering and construction principles, municipal design standards, and design specifications. Basic topographical surveying skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent organizational and documentation skills are also required. Additionally, proficiency in MS Office software, particularly Excel spreadsheets, and experience with design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D would be beneficial.

Education and Experience:
A post-secondary education in an accredited Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering program or equivalent experience is necessary. A minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience related to municipal linear infrastructure projects is also required.

This position will work in both a field and office setting. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Position has possibility of overtime to align with Contractor construction schedules.
